Scrum mastering

I was browsing some job opportunities and came across a company that was looking for a scrum master (seems like either the position got filled in the mean time, or they took the offer offline). The offer looked pretty normal in many respects but there was one line that threw me off.

“The ScrumMaster is NOT responsible for the transition from traditional methods of working to Scrum or the implementation of Scrum”

That to me immediately disqualified the opportunity. It shows a clear lack of understanding the role of the scrum master.

The scrum master is first and foremost a facilitator of the scrum process. He is the person who helps set the stage, builds the teams and acts as a coach to both the team and product owner.
